In the ancient Vedic trigunas · sattva, rajas, tamas · white is the expression of sattva: clarity, purity, luminosity. The sadhaka who wears white is not making a fashion statement. They are making a declaration of inner orientation. The body wrapped in white cotton carries nothing extra into the practice. It arrives clean, ready, receptive.
Across yogic traditions, white has been the cloth of the practitioner · the yogi in morning asana, the meditator before dawn, the devotee entering the sacred space. It is the colour chosen not because it looks beautiful but because it gets out of the way. White says: the practice is more important than the practitioner. The sadhaka disappears into the stillness.
Our whites are the natural white of the cotton plant, grown without chemical pesticides and woven without optical brighteners. This is not the blinding chemical white of fast fashion. It is the soft, warm white of the fibre as it comes from the earth · alive, breathable, honest. As it is washed and worn, it softens further. It becomes yours. It becomes the cloth of your practice.
